Continuing almost right after the black and white series ended, the color series has two major differences. The first and most obvious is the color. The second (and quite disappointing) change is the reduction in page count yet again. In order for GD to be printed in color it had to be only 16 pages. So from 32 pages in the original mini-series, this 3rd volume of Gold Digger would only have half as many pages. Recently though the comic has grown to around 20 pages and the letter's column has returned. Nowadays, Fred's stories are 20-26 pages in length with only the occassional appearance of the letter's column.
