GOLD DIGGER Black & White series, Issues #1 & 2

ISSUE #1 - 24 pgs - Gina and Britanny are on an adventure to the ancient land of Persia... now known as Iran. A brief encounter with black market weapons dealers has the two on the run in Gina's newest car, the Gina-Mobile Mk VI. Ditching the car while it's on auto-pilot, the duo sneak into the site they've come to "plunder". Escaping from a few death traps, the gals split up to check out two seperate corridors. Gina discovers a device that shows the past (and we witness Brit's origin yet again) while Cheetah comes across Stripe? Well no, not really. This fake Stripe turns out to be Genn, a shape-shifting Rakshasa. Genn and Cheetah meet up with Gina at the history viewing machine as Gina uses it to look at the history of the vault. The machine reveals that Gina wasn't the first to discover this place. A king named Croesos looted it of all it's gold 2000 years ago, leaving behind a single brass armlet. When Gina picks up the armlet, she and Cheetah are blasted with a strange mystical force. Seems that by taking the last treasure in the tomb, Gina has inflicted herself and Cheetah with a curse. This issue also contains the first letters column, which is 2 pages in length.

ISSUE #2 - 24 pgs - Brit gets some rest (and has an interesting dream) while Genn and Gina try to map a way out of the tomb through all the various traps in their way. Meanwhile, back in Atlanta, Priestess Tanya is waiting in ambush for Britanny to return home to pay her back for "stealing" Stripe. Back in Iran, the trio pick the only untrapped route to freedom. The only obstacle in their way is a daemon in the form of a mouse. They manage to escape from the daemon mouse but are almost killed repeatedly as Gina and Brit's luck grows worse and worse. Finally reaching the end of the tunnel, (no pun intended) the trio is stopped by General Akbar, the leader of the mercenaries from issue #1. Gina tricks them with a variation of the old "Look out behind you" trick and Brit runs off with Gina with Genn flying behind to make it to the Ginamobile and on their way back home.
