Julia Diggers first met Theo when he was an apprentice mage on the world of Jade. Thinking she was about to be killed in a fighting competition, Theo "saved" her life with a shield spell, but instead of saving her, Julia was expelled from the tournament for using magic. After confronting Theo, Julia accepted his apology and talked him into adventuring with her. After settling down on Earth to raise Gina and Britanny, an unfortunate accident during a spell turned Theo's father into the evil being known as The Lich King. Unable to match his power, Theo forced The Lich King through a dimensional door but not before he cast one last spell that Julia jumped in the way of to protect Theo. The spell returned Julia to her homeland of Jade and would only allow her to visit Earth once a year. The spell was finally broken by the combined efforts of Gina, Brit, and Brianna.
